Switzerland-based business helps companies use first-party data, which they have collected themselves—an increasingly important strategy amid tightening privacy regulations
Ad-tech company TripleLift Inc. said it is acquiring 1plusX AG, a business that helps publishers and advertisers reach audiences using first-party data, for roughly $150 million.
“You can make a lot of really powerful and highly accurate predictions based off of user behavior in an entirely private way that bring a lot of the relevancy that third-party cookies brought, without any of the reliance or privacy issues associated with third-party cookies,” Mr. Lewine said.
