As our communities reopen, women across America see their lives becoming more complicated as they juggle responsibilities at home and at work (which is often still at home). Julia Shullman started a new job months before the pandemic and learned to integrate in isolation.
This year has been a challenging one for the entire world, but women have had it particularly hard thanks to the pandemic. Over the last year, I’ve watched friends, family and colleagues struggle in the face of COVID — not only because they got sick, but because the weight of this pandemic has just been too heavy, and women seem to be the ones carrying it all on their shoulders.
